Refund and Return Policy

Thank you for supporting Pretty City Lights, LLC through donations, subscriptions, and merchandise purchases. We strive to ensure your satisfaction (within reason), and this policy outlines the conditions under which refunds and returns are processed.

We understand that sometimes things get damaged. Please bear in mind when you request a refund that we are not a huge corporation. We are not even a medium one. We made an LLC to comply with local laws and appear cool at parties. Honestly, we would love to just sell you music - but in today’s world – income is not directly generated from our art. We are doing our best to meet minimum wage from the sale of items (in most cases) only tangentially related to music. 

We encourage your ‘Pay what you want” over-donation, paid subscription, and recommendations to others as invaluable fuel in our tanks. Without your support, we are only steps away from consuming nuts and grains from the floor. Call us foolish, but all monies ‘pouring in’ to our enterprise go directly into creating more fantastic art, if they haven’t been spent already.

1. Donations

  • No Refunds: All donations made to support Pretty City Lights, LLC (including paid subscriptions online) are final and non-refundable. We appreciate your generosity and understanding.

2. Subscriptions

  • Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, you will continue to have access to subscription benefits until the end of your current billing cycle. No refunds will be issued for partial months. If you subscribe via a third-party service, such as ‘Behind the Lights’ on Substack, or if you have been given a subscription as a gift, or if you bought subscriptions for other people (say your office, militia, or family), you will continue to have access to subscription benefits until the end of your current billing cycle.
  • Refunds: Subscription payments are non-refundable. If you believe there has been an error in billing, please contact us the subscription platform first, then us, and we will review your case (contact below).

3. Merchandise

3.1 Return Eligibility

  • Conditions: To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused, in the same condition that you received it, and in its original packaging. Returns must be initiated within 30 days of receipt. In most cases, we strive to make things right with our fans. 
  • Non-Returnable Items: Certain items are non-returnable, including:
    • Digital downloads (e.g., music, videos).
    • Customized, handmade, or personalized items.
    • Limited Items, items on sale or marked as final sale.
    • “Free” items or offers, where you paid for shipping/handling

3.2 Return Process

  • Initiate a Return: To initiate a return, please contact us at info@prettycitylights.com (or via the email on your order form) with your order number, date of purchase, and reason for return. We will provide you with further instructions.
  • Shipping: You will be responsible for paying the shipping costs for returning your item and the shipping of a replacement. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
  • Refunds: Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will be applied to your original method of payment within 30 days.

3.3 Exchanges

  • Defective or Damaged Items: If you received a defective or damaged item, please contact us at info@prettycitylights.com within 30 days of receiving your order, and we will arrange for a replacement or refund.
  • Exchanges: We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange an item for the same product, please contact us at info@prettycitylights.com.

4. Digital Products

  • No Refunds: All sales of digital products (e.g., music downloads, e-books, videos) are final and non-refundable once the purchase is completed. Please ensure that your device is compatible with the digital product before purchasing.
